An app I need is locked
Open Slate → Settings → Always allowed and add it. Calls and Messages are never locked. For real emergencies you have three emergency unlocks a week.
My steps aren't counting
Check iOS Settings → Health → Data Access → Slate, and allow Steps. Also allow Motion & Fitness for Slate. Steps from Apple Watch arrive through Apple Health.
The lock screen isn't showing
Slate needs Screen Time access. Go to iOS Settings → Screen Time → Apps with Screen Time Access and make sure Slate is on. Restarting your iPhone fixes most Screen Time glitches.
Why did my settings change only take effect tomorrow?
Changes that make Slate easier wait until the next day at 4am. That's what stops a bad moment from undoing the rule.
Cancel or restore
Cancel anytime in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. To restore a purchase on a new phone, open Slate's paywall and tap Restore.
Delete your data
Slate keeps nothing off your phone. Deleting the app deletes everything.
